Jason Momoa Teases Big Plans For Aquaman And Doing ‘New Things’ With The Character

Jason Momoa recently has his own Q&A Panel at Dallas Comic-Con, and of course the topic of Aquaman came up. When the moderator of the panel asked if he could give anything away about his appearance as the King Of Atlantis, Momoa briefly teased some things.

So, there’s not really a lot of spoilers I can give away. But the research I’ve done on the New 52 stuff with Geoff Johns. And just researching who he is. He’s amazing. He’s got a lot of powers. He’s extremely tough. He’s super strong. But I’m excited about…there’s a big beautiful map laid out and I wish I could carry it with me. It’ll come out soon enough and you’ll see just how big it’s going to be.

When asked about his favorite version of the character and which version he would be drawing inspiration from, Momoa told the fans in attendance to try and “keep an open mind” because they are going to do some “new things” with the character as they re-create him for the big screen. The actor then went on to tell the fans in attendance that getting the role was an “honor” & “fitting” for him due to his heritage. We’ll see what they have in store for the character when he debuts in next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice. You can check out the full panel in the video below.
