Suicide Squad became an incredible success for Warner Bros/DC this summer. Squad exceeded expectations when it finished its run with $745 million worldwide.

Jay Hernandez was a part of the box office recording breaking Suicide Squad this summer for DC, playing El Diablo. El Diablo became a standout character amongst fans and critics. The ending of the film did leave audiences wondering if El Diablo would have a future within the DCEU after his character’s ambiguous ending in the film.

Hernandez opened up to Variety Latino about the possibility of his character returning for other films and was hopefully.

“You know what, let’s just say he’s a metahuman. What are you going to do? There are possibilities there. I’m not saying anything but, there are some possibilities. I haven’t heard anything yet from anyone but even if I had, do you think I could tell you?”

It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

Starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Karen Fukuhara, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood and Cara Delevingne the Suicide Squad – Extended Cut will be released on Digital HD on Nov. 15 and Blu-ray Dec. 13.
