Suicide Squad became an incredible success for Warner Bros/DC this summer. Squad exceeded expectations when it finished its run with $745 million worldwide.
Jay Hernandez was a part of the box office recording breaking Suicide Squad this summer for DC, playing El Diablo. El Diablo became a standout character amongst fans and critics. The ending of the film did leave audiences wondering if El Diablo would have a future within the DCEU after his character’s ambiguous ending in the film.
Hernandez opened up to Variety Latino about the possibility of his character returning for other films and was hopefully.
“You know what, let’s just say he’s a metahuman. What are you going to do? There are possibilities there. I’m not saying anything but, there are some possibilities. I haven’t heard anything yet from anyone but even if I had, do you think I could tell you?”
