Jeffrey Dean Morgan Dons Flashpoint Ben Affleck Batman Suit In Cool New Image

Digital artist Skull101ify has created new fan art that imagines Jeffrey Dean Morgan in a Flashpoint-inspired version of Ben Affleck’s Batman suit.

While Ben Affleck’s time as Batman has come to an end, there are still some fans who are clamoring to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan don the Batsuit in a Flashpoint film. While future Batman films will not be connected to Ben Affleck’s Caped Crusader, digital artist Skull101ify has unveiled a new piece that offers fans an idea of what Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Thomas Wayne could look like as Batman with a Flashpoint-inspired version of the costume.

For those unaware, the Flashpoint storyline in the comics followed The Flash as he navigated an altered DC Universe. In this alternate world, Thomas Wayne became Batman after his son, Bruce, was murdered and his wife, Martha, consequently went mad and became the Joker.

Plot details for The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and features a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that reportedly includes Catwoman. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC Films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader.

Former Bruce Wayne Ben Affleck was originally set to write and direct The Batman. He eventually stepped down and handed the duties to Matt Reeves, who’s been attached to the movie since February 2017. Nearly a year later, Ben Affleck revealed that he had decided to hang up the cape and cowl, allowing Reeves to look for a younger Caped Crusader.

The Batman will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021.
