Jeffrey Dean Morgan straps on an intimidating Batman costume for Ezra Miller’s The Flash in this impressive concept design.
With Ezra Miller’s The Flash pulling elements from the classic Flashpoint storyline in the comics, many fans expected to see a version of Thomas Wayne make an appearance as Batman in the film. Although DC announced that Michael Keaton is in talks to appear in the film as his 1989 Batman as well as Ben Affleck also reprising his role to mentor Barry Allen, it seems like Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been left behind. The star even joked that Keaton had stolen his role in the Scarlet Speedster’s solo film.
The new art from Evan Pennock on Instagram shows Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Batman in a tactical set of armor adapted from the Flashpoint comics. The design also gives the suit a more technical aspect, lighting up his chest armor with a red backlight to match the piercing red eyes in the cowl. It would be great to see a suit like this show up alongside Ezra Miller in The Flash, maybe we can hope that Jeffrey Dean Morgan will have a secret role in the film to surprise fans. But it’s probably best not to get our hopes up on that one. Take a look at the star as Batman below.

Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash will be inspired by the Flashpoint comic storyline which followed The Flash as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles. It is currently unknown how much inspiration the upcoming Ezra Miller film will take from the comic.
The Flash is set to hit theaters on June 3rd, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Jeffrey Dean Morgan and The Flash, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more exclusive video content.
