The ultimate edition of Batman v Superman features a much longer cut of the superhero showdown including new characters. Jena Malone was casting in the film but cut out of the theatrical debut, now the credits from the ultimate edition have revealed her role.
Malone played Jenet Klyburn.
Klyburn is known for being a S.T.A.R. Labs scientist and in fact eventually becomes the Director of S.T.A.R. labs. While this role is certainly smaller than what many had guessed it does connect her to a much larger universe. This connection allows her to be a part of the upcoming Flash and Cyborg films.
Since her involvement in the film was first rumored (due to the actress being spotted on set), the role has been a mystery. Some have cited her as Barbra Gordon aka Batgirl/Oracle, and others have stated that Malone is actually playing Carrie Kelley, the infamous female Robin from Frank Miller’s classic graphic novel ‘The Dark Knight Returns.’
Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – Ultimate Edition and starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot. It will be released on Digital HD June 28 and on Blu-ray July 19.
