Jeph Loeb Hopeful For ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Season 5 Renewal

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4C TrailerWhile most of the comic book TV shows have been renewed for additional seasons, fans of ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are still waiting to hear on Season 5. TV Line recently chatted with Marvel TV president Jeph Loeb at the Freeform Upfront where he expressed hope for a season five renewal.

“We’re hopeful.”

It has been reported by several outlets that a Season 5 renewal for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is expected to come. Despite the somewhat lower ratings this year, the show has actually been doing well for itself at the 10 PM timeslot for ABC, compared to other shows that have aired there.

“Daisy finds herself teamed up with an unlikely partner. Meanwhile, Aida prepares to put her ultimate end game into effect, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” TUESDAY, APRIL 25 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network.

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, Henry Simmons as Agent Alphonso “Mack” MacKenzie and John Hannah as Holden Radcliffe.

Guest starring are Brett Dalton as Grant Ward, Mallory Jansen as Madame Hydra/Aida, Jordan Rivera as Hope Mackenzie, David Weiss as serious man, Patrick Cavanaugh as Burrows, Zach McGowan as The Superior, David O’Hara as Alistair, Ben Cain as Hydra agent, Andy Comeau as Hydra doctor and Kavita Patil as Mrs. Lee.

  • I hope it gets renewed. This Season has been so, so much better than previous years. I genuinely can’t wait to find out what happens next at the end of every episode, something I never thought I’d be able to say about Agents of SHIELD.

      Agreed. In Season 3, I really thought they did a good job but Season 4 has been amazing and consistently getting better as it goes.
