Reviews for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice have been mixed amongst fans and critics. Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor was at the center of many discussions, some loving his performance and others not connecting with his portrayal at all.

During a recent interview with MTV News while promoting Now You See Me 2, Eisenberg explained that many of his character choices will be explained when the film’s longer cut is released.

“It’s a very complicated mythology that I was able to wrap my head around while we were filming. But I think there were certain editorial choices that I was not aware of that they put in retroactively.”

An extended Rated-R version of Batman v Superman will be released, the movie will feature 30 more minutes of footage, new characters who didn’t appear in the final cut, such as Jena Malone.

“Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.”

What did you think of Batman v Superman? Are you looking forward to the extended R-Rated version?

Am I the only one who thinks Jena Malone was (or may have been) already in the movie? In the Knightmare sequence, Batman grabs a thin, redheaded woman (whose face is obscured by goggles and maybe a mask over her mouth, and he briefly tries to drag her to safety. I could be wrong, especially if Malone is a post Killing Joke Barbara Gordon, but I think it was her.

If she was just part of the nightmare sequence then who cares? That whole scene was pointless.

It’s not pointless. It serves a purpose. It’s not particularly successful, but it’s not pointless. As to whether or why anybody should care if that was her, that’s not necessarily the only place she would crop up. But if it is her and she’s Barbara Gordon, it would indicate that this is not Oracle and could potentially still be Batgirl.

Agree. It was pointless. The R-rated cut wont see the theaters. No room and it wouldnt turn a profit for warner or the theaters. Plus May is almost here, theaters like to play new movies hence profit. Just to repeat, its all about profitability…none here.

Just bring the extended cut to the theaters already! I’m sick of everyone blaming it on having to cut it down for the theatrical release. Just show us the 3 hour version and let us be the judge, dammit!

i sincerely don’t understand the hate or dislike of the movie, i seen it 5 times at different location and everyone seem to like it, i was skeptical at first about Eisenberg performance but after seeing the movie, he didn’t bother me one bit, people compare him to Jim Carry but its not true, jim carry was kinda goofy

Most people that saw it liked it. Don’t let net trolls make you think different. The movie’s made over $800 million! It’s the sixth largest comic book movie in box office history. There is controversy over the film, that’s true, but don’t worry about those that claim to hate it so much, most are just trolls. Like anything, there are those who don’t like “Batman v Superman” for legit reasons, as is their right. However, most people that don’t like a movie just move on. Trolls are mad because you liked it, and they want to ruin your enjoyment of it. Half of them probably like “BvS” but would never admit it. Ignore the haters. You’ll find that there a LOT of people that loved this movie.

Most people didn’t like it. :)

LOL You’re good for a laugh, you funny little dummy, you! 😉

          • Carl

While you laugh at the truth, I laugh at you. 😉

      • Christopher Dorner

They had to like it if they come and read positive articles about the movie, and troll people who like it. Kinda like a young crush where you tease the girl you like lol

        Huh? According to who?
