Loki Actor Tom Hiddleston Replaces Joaquin Phoenix As The Joker In New Image

An awesome new piece of fan art imagines Loki star Tom Hiddleston as Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker successor for the DC Extended Universe.

Thanks to his role as Loki in the Thor and Avengers movies, Tom Hiddleston is now one of the most popular actors in Hollywood. Despite Tom Hiddleston being busy as he prepares to return to the role of Loki for a new series coming to the Disney Plus streaming service , fans still like to imagine what the actor could look like as other comic book characters. Digital artist The Main Man Creation recently created a piece that reveals what Tom Hiddleston would look like if the actor were to jump ship to DC Films and take on the role of The Joker.

Here’s what Tom Hiddleston could look like replacing Joaquin Phoenix as The Joker!

What do you think? Would Tom Hiddleston have been an even better choice for the upcoming Joker movie with Joaquin Phoenix? Would you want to see Tom Hiddleston as the Joker in a future DC Comics movie? Are you excited for Tom Hiddleston’s Loki series? Let us know in the comments section!

For Joker, Warner Bros. is drawing from Martin Scorsese classics such as Taxi Driver and Raging Bull, with the upcoming standalone film starring Joaquin Phoenix taking place in a gritty 1980s Gotham. Todd Phillips (The Hangover) directed the film, which will take place outside of the current DC cinematic universe in an attempt to create new storylines and expand on DC canon.

Todd Phillips wrote the Joker movie script with Scott Silver (8 Mile). It’s said to focus on Joaquin Phoenix’s Clown Prince of Crime as a failed 1980s comedian who becomes The Joker after bombing with audiences.

Joker is set to premiere at the Venice International Film Festival ahead of its U.S. debut in Toronto. The highly-anticipated movie opens in theaters nationwide this October.

Warner Bros. and DC are also working on several other projects, including The Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern Corps, The Suicide Squad, Aquaman 2, The Trench, Black Adam, the Shazam! sequel, Supergirl, Plastic Man and New Gods. Birds of Prey is up next, hitting theaters on February 7, 2020.

Here’s the official synopsis for Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker:

“Joker” centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck (Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.

Directed by Todd Phillips from a script he co-wrote with Scott Silver, Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, and Shea Whigham.

Joker opens on October 4, 2019. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Tom Hiddleston, Loki, Joaquin Phoenix, Joker and the future of the DC Extended Universe!
