EA has released a new preview for Star Wars Battlefront II featuring Star Wars actor John Boyega as takes fans on a tour of the upcoming video game.
The American video game publisher has also confirmed all 11 playable maps, offering extensive details and revealing Star Wars Battlefront II will indeed take players back to Jakku. The map’s official description reveals the Resistance goes up against the odds of the First Order in the hull of a crashed Star Destroyer after locating some data of key interest. Players on the side of the First Order must do everything they can to prevent the Resistance from reaching evacuation transports landing from above nearby.
In the video, Boyega previews the games various multiplayer modes as well as the single-player campaign which follows the Inferno Squad, a group of Imperial special forces soldiers reeling in the aftermath of the Battle of Endor. Boyega takes you inside Battlefront II‘s class gameplay and heroes — each with their abilities, weapons, and weapon attachments that will shape a unique experience for players. Star Wars Battlefront II won’t hit game store shelves until this fall, but you can already pre-order the game for new Kylo Ren and Rey costumes from Star Wars: The Last Jedi plus ability upgrades and more. Fans who pre-order will be able to play the multiplayer beta early and will also gain instant access to an upgraded Epic Lightsaber Mastery Star Card for Yoda.
Pre-orders for the Star Wars Battlefront II: Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition includes three-day early access to Star Wars Battlefront II as well as upgraded versions of all four trooper classes in the game. EA Access or Origin Access Members will also be able to the play the first trial of the game beginning. November 9. Those who pre-order Star Wars Battlefront II: Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition will be able to play starting November 14. The single player campaign was co-written by former IGN reporter Mitch Dyer and Walt Williams.
Star Wars Battlefront II will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on Origin for PC November 17, 2017, but the Inferno Squad will first be introduced this month in the new canon novel Inferno Squad which picks up after the Battle of Scarif in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
