John Boyega Is Ready For War In New ‘Pacific Rim Uprising’ Poster

Pacific Rim UprisingLegendary Entertainment has released the new poster for Pacific Rim Uprising, the sequel to Guillermo Del Toro’s 2013 blockbuster Pacific Rim.

Plot details for Pacific Rim: Uprising remain under wraps but the sequel stars John Boyega who plays Jake Pentecost, the son of Stacker Pentecost played by Idris Elba in the original film. The sequel follows the young Pentecost who has picked up his father’s sword and is at the forefront of a Jaeger uprising against the Kaiju resurgent.

The new poster features Boyega front and center and ready to take on the Kaiju. You can check it out below.

Pacific Rim Uprising

Boyega leads the sequel along with Spaeny and Eastwood. Returning from the original is Rinko Kikuchi and Charlie Day. Uprising will also welcome franchise newcomers such as Adria Arjona, Jing Tian, Burn Gorman, Levi Meaden, Karan Brar, and Nick E. Tarabay.

The first trailer is set to debut at New York Comic-Con during a special panel on October 6 at 12 p.m. ET in the theater at Madison Square Garden. Director Steven S. DeKnight will be joined by the film’s stars along with moderator Aaron Sagers to discuss the sequel and reveal the first trailer.
