See Johnny Depp Ready To Face Robert Pattinson’s Batman As Joker

From Captain Jack to the Joker!

Johnny Depp The Batman Robert Pattinson Joker

New artwork imagines former Fantastic Beasts star Johnny Depp as The Joker for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman universe.

Johnny Depp has been on the minds of DC fans for years. Back when Christopher Nolan was still developing The Dark Knight Trilogy, many wanted to see Depp take on the role of The Riddler. While The Dark Knight Trilogy never featured the Riddler, Robert Pattinson’s The Batman will see the villain return to the silver screen with actor Paul Dano. The Riddler role might be taken for now, but it’s rumored that Joker will at some point appear in The Batman universe and many are hoping for Depp to bring the character to life.

Warner Bros. recently fired Johnny Depp off the Fantastic Beasts series after losing the actor lost a libel case against The Sun, which was connected to the abuse allegations made by his ex-wife Amber Heard. It now seems unlikely that Depp will get a chance to play the Joker in Robert Pattinson’s The Batman universe, but digital artist Jakub Maslowski has imagined what he could look like suited up as the iconic DC Comics villain. Check out the concept design below.

The plot of The Batman is being kept under lock and key, but we know the film will follow Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his second year as Gotham City’s Caped Crusader. The Batman will also show off the hero using his skills as a detective more than what we’ve seen before in previous versions of the character. It is also expected to be the first installment in a new trilogy of films starring Pattinson.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, Robert Pattinson stars as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman is currently set to open in theaters on March 4, 2022. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news on Johnny Depp, Robert Pattinson and The Batman, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more video content.
