Josh Brolin Calls ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ “Most Fun” Time He’s Had

Thanos Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Studios Avengers

After nearly six years of teases, Thanos (Josh Brolin) will finally inflict his incredible threat upon Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War. This film will serve as the culmination of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe as first established in 2008 with Iron Man.

At the end of The Avengers in 2012, fans were greeted by Thanos for the first time as he smiles after being told that to challenge them would be to court Death. Josh Brolin was eventually cast as the Mad Titan and first officially appeared as the antagonist in Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014.

Thanos next appeared during the end credits scene of Avengers: Age of Ultron, in which he is shown wielding the Infinity Gauntlet expressing that he will finally take action into his own hands – teasing an uneasy future for our heroes.

With Infinity War, Josh Brolin will finally have the opportunity to truly sink his teeth into the character. Now that Thanos is at the center of the story as he unleashes his impending doom, Brolin will get to showcase his incredible acting capabilities through the use of motion capture.

Josh Brolin spoke with Entertainment Weekly about his experience working on Infinity War. Brolin was ecstatic with praise:

“I love doing Avengers, it’s maybe the most fun I’ve ever had. I just saw a little snippet of it, and it was amazing. The cutting-edge technology of what they’re doing — what I’ve seen is absolutely mind-blowing. When I saw it on screen, it was me, but also not like me. It’s really strange.”

Of course, any actor in a major blockbuster would hype up their next project, but seeing an actor of the caliber of Josh Brolin express his enthusiasm for the film should always bode confidence. After all, he is an Academy Award-nominee that has showcased his talents in many great ways. Now that he is finally going to dig deep into this truly villainous role for the MCU, we are going to be in for something special.

What do you guys think of Josh Brolin’s comments? Do you believe him that he had the time of his life filming for Infinity War? Or do you think that by the time he finishes his work as Cable in Deadpool 2 that he’d be singing a different tune?
