‘Jurassic World 2’ To Begin Filming in March

Jurassic World 2 is set to hit theaters in 2018. And now director J.A. Bayona has revealed that the film will begin shooting in just a few short months.

“We’re working it already and shooting starts in March.”

Bayona is currently going around and promoting his latest film, A Monster Calls, which is hitting theaters January 6, 2017.

While doing an interview for the film, he did get a chance to discuss the upcoming Jurassic World sequel:

“Every story is different and you need to find the depth of every story and try to express it on the screen. The Jurassic World sequel is a more collaborative filmmaker experience, not only with Colin Trevorrow, but also with Steven [Spielberg] and with Frank Marshall. It’s their baby as much as it is mine. It’s about sharing views and working together to bring the story to life. But, at the same time, the way I face telling a story is to find something very personal. I think there will be plenty of myself also in the film.”

Jurassic World 2 is penned by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Toby Jones, and Rafe Spall. and is set to hit theaters on June 22, 2018.

There’s been no word on whether or not the title will remain or if there’ll be something added to it, but for now, fans can rest assured that the sequel is on the way.
