Universal has officially announced that a sequel to Jurassic World will hit theaters on June 22, 2018.
Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will reprise their roles as Owen and and Claire, while Jurassic World Director Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly are set to write the script for the sequel.
Steven Spielberg will once again return as an executive producer, with Frank Marshall set to return as a producer for the film. There’s no word on a director though. The announcement comes a day after Jurassic World surpassed the Avengers at the worldwide box office.
