Justice League was a high-point for the DC Extended Universe. It was the culmination of four years and four movies of world building and a dream come true for many fans who have waited their whole lives to see Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, The Flash and Aquaman appear together on the big screen. While the film wasn’t the box-office champion many hoped, it opened up the DCEU to further solo and crossover adventures. The honor of the first solo adventure in the DCEU after Justice League goes to Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, with his film being helmed by James Wan.
Momoa’s take on Arthur Curry was a hit with the fans, and over the last few weeks, Justice League director and DC Extended Universe architect Zack Snyder has been posting behind the scenes photos of the character on Vero, a new social media app that he is frequenting. Now it seems Mark Twight, Jason Momoa’s trainer on Justice League, is on the same train, as he posted a behind-the-scene photo of the actor as Arthur Curry. The release of the photo coincides with the Blu-Ray and DVD release of Justice League, which is today. Check out the photo below.
The post comes with heartfelt words from Twight that states he believes Momoa has the potential to be a filmmaker himself, stating that “J is better behind the camera than in front of it.” Given the amount of time the two would have spent together, it would be no surprise if Twight had seen some of Momoa’s hidden talent and is foretelling a new direction the actor’s career could take in the future.
