Justice League Dark

Following the debut of the new trailer, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has now revealed the official Blu-Ray cover art for Justice League Dark, as well as the release date of the upcoming R-rated animated movie.

Directed by Jay Oliva, Justice League Dark will arrive on Digital HD on January 24, 2017. It will then hit stores on Blu-Ray and DVD two weeks later on February 7th. In addition to the regular Blu-Ray, there will also be a special edition (set for release on the same date) that will include a John Constantine figurine.

You can check out the cover below.

When innocent civilians begin committing unthinkable crimes across Metropolis, Gotham City and beyond, Batman must call upon mystical counterparts to eradicate this demonic threat to the planet. Enter Justice League Dark, reluctantly led by the Hellblazer himself, John Constantine. Like Batman, Constantine is a cunning, often cynical loner who is the best at his chosen profession – but quickly realizes the sinister forces plaguing the planet will require help from other supernatural alliances. Forming a new “league” with sorceress Zatanna, otherworldly Deadman, and Jason Blood and his powerful alter ego Etrigan the Demon, this team of Dark Arts specialists must unravel the mystery of Earth’s supernatural plague and contend with the rising, powerful villainous forces behind the siege – before it’s too late for all of mankind.

The animated film stars Jason O’Mara as Batman, Matt Ryan as John Constantine, Camilla Luddington as Zatanna, Nicholas Turturro as Deadman, Ray Chase as Jason Blood/Etrigan the Demon, Roger R. Cross as John Stewart/Swamp Thing, Jerry O’Connell as Superman, Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman, Jeremy Davies as Ritchie Simpson, Enrico Colantoni as Felix Faust and Alfred Molina as Destiny.

Yeah, from the description they’re using Batman to introduce these other characters. I hope they make a stand alone down the line if this does well.

You guys do realize that Batman did help create JLD in the comics, yes?
