‘Justice League’ Fan Extends Aquaman’s Battle In Atlantis

Aquaman Wonder Woman DC Justice LeagueIn a brand new fan-edit, Aquaman’s battle with Steppenwolf in Atlantis is recolored, given a new score, and extended for an alternate look at one of Justice League’s best sequences.

A Reddit user who goes by TheRFB09, recently posted his own edit of Aquaman’s battle with Steppenwolf. Though the scene in Justice League was fun, it did suffer from some confusing editing and awkward plot holes. This edit is a valiant effort to repair those issues to varying degrees of success:

FAN-MADE: JL Atlantis Battle Extended from DC_Cinematic

The recoloring does look more aesthetically pleasing. All the blues and greens of Atlantis pop in a way they never did in Justice League’s theatrical release. However, the sound editing here does make for some awkward moments and some natural sound is missing. This is unavoidable in edits like this, but nothing is really gained by changing Justice League’s score. Still, this is a fun experiment that shows us just how awesome James Wan’s Aquaman can be.

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Patrick Wilson as Orm Marius/Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, and Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko. Plot details for Aquaman are currently under wraps. The film centers on Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry and will dive much deeper into the character’s past as it explores the discovery of his powers and his reluctance to accept his role as King.

Aquaman is currently slated to hit theaters on December 21, 2018.
