Henry Cavill is still sworn to secrecy when it comes to speaking about his role as Superman in Justice League, but he’s happy to discuss anything DC Comics related. In an interview with JOE.ie, Cavill reveals some of his favorite DC villains of all time, from the realms of both the movies and comics.
Originally, Cavill was quick to pick out General Zod, who was played by Michael Shannon opposite of Cavill in Man of Steel.
“Zod has come back in so many different ways throughout the comic books and he’s a fantastic villain in all those different ways. Bit of a boring answer though.”
Cavill went on to list off several more iconic baddies from the DC universe and unsurprisingly, he seems to be partial toward the rogues gallery of Superman.
“Doomsday was great as far as Dan Jurgens comics go. Just amazing; and Brainiac’s pretty badass too. Darkseid. I can just start naming a whole bunch. Brainiac’s a cool one. I like Brainiac.”

Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Amber Heard, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons, Willem Dafoe, Connie Nielsen, Julian Lewis Jones and Ciarán Hinds.
