Did Hype for ‘Justice League’ Tickets Sales Break Fandango This Morning?

Justice League Zack Snyder Fandango Crash

Shortly after Justice League ticket sales were made available online through Fandango, the site was said to have crashed according to a fan’s tweet.

Not that long after it came to light that Fandango was selling Justice League tickets a bit ahead of the planned start date of October 27, 2017, the internet took notice. And when the internet takes notice of a major movie now having ticket sales available, they flood a ticket distributor’s traffic.

But when we contacted Fandango, the site confirmed they had a brief scheduled maintenance this morning that ran for a few minutes.

Early tracking apparently bodes well for Justice League, and that fans are so quick to pre-order their tickets will probably look even better as the movie gets closer and closer to release. In any case, distributors ought to be pretty happy if the superhero movie brings a lot of attention to multiplexes to get the box office back on track.

Justice League unites on November 17, 2017. The superhero epic features a cast that includes Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne (Batman), Henry Cavill as Kal-El/Clark Kent (Superman), Gal Gadot as Diana Prince (Wonder Woman), Jason Momoa as Orin/Arthur Curry (Aquaman), Ezra Miller as Barry Allen (The Flash), Ray Fisher as Victor Stone (Cyborg), Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Robin Wright as General Antiope, J. K. Simmons as Commissioner James ‘Jim’ Gordon, Joe Morton as Dr. Silas Stone, Amber Heard as Mera, Julian Lewis Jones as King Atlan, Billy Crudup as Dr. Henry Allen, and Kiersey Clemons as Iris West. Michael McElhatton is also in the movie in an unspecified role.

The 7 Best Comic Books Of DC’s Geoff Johns

Previous1 of 8

Geoff Johns DC Sinestro Corps WarDC superstar Geoff Johns is reasserting himself back into the comic book world in a big way with Doomsday Clock. Characters from Watchmen have been bleeding into the DC Universe since the beginning of DC Rebirth, and Johns, no stranger to writing universe threatening tales, has finally kicked that story into high-gear.

Johns has also been working at DC Films, but he got his start in the comic book world. He has been my favorite comic book writer since I started reading comics as a kid and his skill has only expanded since then. As his name has grown, Johns has been able to take more and more risks as he utilizes his signature, emotion-filled storytelling techniques on everyone from Aquaman to Superman.
