It’s been a rough and rocky journey for the DC Extended Universe. From 2013’s Man of Steel all the way to 2017’s Justice League, while the films certainly have their fans, critically and commercially, the films could’ve performed better.
But to be fair, for all the comparisons that the DCEU can get with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is still only 5-years-old compared to the MCU’s 10 years. Plus, in a post-Justice League world, the DCEU has films such as Aquaman, Shazam! and Wonder Woman 1984 on the way – all three could certainly be the home runs that the brand needs to serve as a formidable force as a franchise.
Well, as the MCU celebrates its first 10 years, an entire decade of the DCEU is yet to come. That is the case for these amusing fan posters that Instagram user @raichu.copper concocted that are parodies of Marvel Studios’ large collection of posters celebrating its first decade.
These posters use the main Justice League roster and also use the “More than a [blank]” tagline to represent each character. As expected, Superman’s poster is the most amusing:

The DCEU has achieved some box office success in its history, with Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman being the first to be critically acclaimed along with its financial success. Thankfully, after the underperformance of Justice League, the DCEU has nowhere to go but up, and with Aquaman looking as good as it does, the dawn is coming.
To borrow a quote from Harvey Dent from The Dark Knight, “The night is darkest just before the dawn. And I promise you, the dawn is coming.”
Here is the synopsis for Justice League:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Directed by Zack Snyder, with post-production duties handled by Joss Whedon, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Amber Heard, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons, Connie Nielsen, Julian Lewis Jones and Ciarán Hinds.
Justice League is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, and DVD.
10 DC Comics Characters That Need To Be In Matt Reeves’ Batman Movie
As one of the DC’s most popular heroes, Batman has starred in quite a few films. After Christopher Nolan wrapped up his Dark Knight trilogy, the character was quickly reintroduced in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and was a key player in Justice League. The Caped Crusader is set to return in his own movie, potentially titled The Batman, with Matt Reeves, the director of Cloverfield and the last two Planet of the Apes movies, behind the camera.
At the moment, nothing is known about the film’s plot or who will appear, but with Batman in the title role odds are other key DC characters will appear. So far, Batman’s corner of the DC Universe hasn’t been explored too much, so there are still a lot of characters who can be introduced on the big screen. Batman’s gonna need some villains to fight, and allies to fight beside, so Matt Reeves needs to search through the back-issues and figure out who he wants to include.
