New ‘Justice League’ TV Spots Show Off Mera, Cyborg & Steppenwolf

Justice League TV SpotsJustice League is coming in less than a month, and Warner Bros. and DC are definitely wanting to get everyone on board as soon as possible, just like with any new big movie.

We’ve gotten a brand new trailer recently, plus new posters, short teasers, TV spots, promo art, BTS looks and everything in between. Now we got two brand new TV spots, the first titled “Big Guns”, which doesn’t show much except for the Batmobile in more action, and another one which shows off more Justice League members in some pretty explosive action against the film’s big bad, Steppenwolf.

You can check out the TV spots below.

It is still interesting to see how much the look of Justice League has changed since we got out first look last year. With “Big Guns” having that 2016 Comic-Con trailer after the newest TV spot, we can see not only colour palette changes, but pretty major tonal changes leaning more towards a big adventure, instead of the usual DC super-serious cataclysmic drama. As always, we will see what kind of tone Justice League will stick with in little over three weeks.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Ciarán Hinds, Connie Nielsen, and J.K. Simmons. Here’s the official synopsis:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s (Henry Cavill) selfless act, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash — it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is in cinemas November 17.

The 7 Best Comic Books Of DC’s Geoff Johns

Geoff Johns DC Sinestro Corps WarDC superstar Geoff Johns is reasserting himself back into the comic book world in a big way with Doomsday Clock. Characters from Watchmen have been bleeding into the DC Universe since the beginning of DC Rebirth, and Johns, no stranger to writing universe threatening tales, has finally kicked that story into high-gear.

Johns has also been working at DC Films, but he got his start in the comic book world. He has been my favorite comic book writer since I started reading comics as a kid and his skill has only expanded since then. As his name has grown, Johns has been able to take more and more risks as he utilizes his signature, emotion-filled storytelling techniques on everyone from Aquaman to Superman.
