A cool concept design shows The Boys star Karl Urban replacing Hugh Jackman as Wolverine for the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.
Kevin Feige’s plans for incorporating Wolverine and the rest of the X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe are being kept under lock and key, but it’s expected that they will not include Hugh Jackman. No actor has played a comic book character on the silver screen longer than Jackman, giving Marvel Studios a tough task ahead to find a worthy successor to bare the Wolverine claws. A name some fans are getting behind as the next Wolverine is The Boys star Karl Urban.
Wolverine might not return to live-action for quite some time, but Karl Urban could bring that ruggedness that he displays as Billy Butcher on The Boys to James “Logan” Howlett. While Urban has already appeared in the MCU as Skurge, we’ve seen that Kevin Feige is not afraid to bring actors back for different roles. For instance, Gemma Chan will play Sersi in The Eternals after portraying Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel. To take this popular piece of fan-casting one step further, a fan edit from digital artist Kunal Chopra shows Urban taking over the Wolverine role from Hugh Jackman. Check it out below.

Here is the official synopsis for the second season of Karl Urban’s The Boys:
The even more intense, more insane season two finds The Boys on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. In hiding, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) try to adjust to a new normal, with Butcher (Karl Urban) nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) must navigate her place in The Seven as Homelander (Antony Starr) sets his sights on taking complete control. His power is threatened with the addition of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a social media-savvy new Supe, who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s paranoia.
