Kevin Feige Believes ‘Black Panther’ Is The Best Marvel Studios Movie

Black Panther Chadwick Boseman MarvelKevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, has called Black Panther the best movie ever made in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

During a recent interview with ABC to promote the film, Kevin Feige discussed how great the movie was:

“The movie finished, and I looked over at Ryan, I said, ‘that’s the best movie we’ve ever made.'”

The interview also includes the cast of the movie discussing the importance the film has, as well as Feige and director Ryan Coogler discussing the process of creating the project. You can check the full interview out below.

It’s no surprise that Kevin Feige is in love with the film, as audiences are flocking in droves to the cinema to watch it. The film recently received the coveted A+ CinemaScore and was Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Beyond that, the film is breaking all sorts of box-office records, which includes making $75 million on just Friday alone. The film is expected to gross anywhere between $175 to $210 million this weekend.

The film is also breaking records at the world’s largest theatre chain, AMC, where it has become the highest-grossing film at more than 30 locations.

“Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after the events of “Captain America: Civil War,” returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.

Directed by Ryan Coogler, the film stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke,  Florence Kasumba, Sterling K. Brown, Andy Serkis and John Kan.

Black Panther is currently playing in theatres.

Marvel’s Black Panther is finally in theaters and if you haven’t had the opportunity to check this film out yet, you absolutely should. Whether you’re a hardcore MCU fanboy, a die-hard fan of the character in comics, an admirer of one of the dozen or so amazing performers featured in this incredible cast, or just someone who wants to relish in the chance to finally see an African American superhero headline his own film on a scale such as this, you should get everything you’re looking for and more in Black Panther.

The importance of what director Ryan Coogler and company did with this film cannot be overstated. Black Panther is a massive achievement for representation in the same way that Wonder Woman was last year, and most importantly, the film totally delivered, so much so that we have a whole list’s worth of exciting and cool moments to talk about. There are dozens of great little beats, jokes, or lines of dialogue that could fill a list of their own, but these are the bigger moments that either held an emotional weight or just some really kick-ass sequences. Sometimes both.
