Kevin Feige Teases The Hulk’s Role In The Next ‘Avengers’ Films

Hulk-Thor-Ragnarok-MarvelWhile The Incredible Hulk may not receive his own trilogy of films, actor Mark Ruffalo recently revealed that both he and Kevin Feige planned out a three-part story arc for the character that woill begin with Thor: Ragnarok and conclude in the fourth Avengers film. In an interview with Screen Rant, Feige hinted at what fans can expect from the Hulk and his evolution in the next two Avengers films.

Thor: Ragnarok will feature a more intelligent Hulk who has developed the ability to speak in near-complete sentences and Feige explained how Avengers: Infinity War and the subsequent sequel will continue the evolution of Banner’s relationship with the Green Goliath:

“Anything’s possible. It is something when we were talking to Mark about this movie and trying to get him excited and getting him to agree to be in this movie, I did pitch to him a potential, sort of three movie arc for the character starting with this and that is what we ended up doing. Now, I won’t say where it goes, but it’s the continuing evolution of the relationship between Banner and Hulk and you see a side of it here. There’s a great line. He [Banner] says, “it’s different this time, usually it feels like we both have a hand on the wheel, but this time he was driving and I was locked in the trunk.” Are they ever going to be able to resolve that?”

With Thor: Ragnarok incorporating elements of the fan-favorite Planet Hulk comic book storyline, fans are curious to see if the upcoming Avengers films will loosely adapt any other Hulk comic arcs or possibly introduce the more sophisticated Grey Hulk to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While fans will have to wait until next summer to see what the future holds for the Hulk, we have less than a month of waiting until we see this ‘trilogy’ commence with the third Thor adventure.

In Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok“, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladictorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!

Directed by Taika Waititi, the film stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson,  Karl Urban, Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins.

Thor: Ragnarok will be released in theaters on November 3, 2017.

Thor: RagnarokGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is out on home media and Spider-Man: Homecoming has been playing in theaters for a while now, so it’s time to look forward to the next Marvel movies, the first being Thor: Ragnarok.

The trailer for the film is incredible. The vibe, the action, the set-design, the soundtrack, every element of the trailer screams, “This is a different kind of Thor movie.”

And that’s exactly what we need. Thor: The Dark World was the most easily forgettable Marvel sequel, only distinguishable from the original for its use of fan-favorite villain Loki. Thor: Ragnarok looks poised to switch up the formula, seeming more like a fun intergalactic romp than a brooding space epic.

Judging from the trailer and other positive buzz, there’s plenty of cause to be excited for Thor: Ragnarok. Here are the 5 reasons why. Click next to get started!
