Kevin Feige Talks Team-Ups In ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

Avengers Infinity War LogoThe third installment of the Avengers franchise, Avengers: Infinity War, is getting closer to start production in early 2017 and with all the Doctor Strange news lately in regards to Infinity War, there is a lot of focus right now on the team-ups that we may or will see in the film.

In a new interview with Vulture, Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, was asked about what pairings he is looking forward to, with so many heroes coming together. His answer also gets more intriguing as his teases goes beyond Avengers: Infinity War.

“There are so many. But I would say, both because of the characters and the actors who’ve created them, Doctor Strange and Tony Stark. Particularly in Infinity War and the movie after that, there are … unexpected team-ups.”

Given how Phase 1 and 2 have gotten bigger for each phase that we have entered, Feige spoke about the idea of having more intimate films after Infinity War as opposed to trying to go bigger.

“I think it’s possible to have more intimate movies after that, or to have more interesting, unexpected combinations of characters after that, absolutely. It never is intentionally about ‘being even bigger.’ Arguably, one of the biggest scenes we’ve ever had in a movie was the airport battle in Civil War, and there weren’t world-ending stakes in that scene, there wasn’t an asteroid smashing into a city in that scene, but there was a conflict between the characters that made you feel something. To us, it’s less about continuing to go bigger with spectacle — although in some cases, we will — and more about continuing to go deeper with those character interactions.”

Anthony and Joe Russo’s Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is set to open in theaters on May 4, 2018. What team-ups are you hoping to see in the upcoming film? Let us know in the comments below.

When a person has you blocked, he doesn’t see your comments, but you can still see his…It’s akin to him putting you on AUTO-IGNORE. He also has me on block, but out of habit, I still reply to some of his supercilious nonsense out of my own “petty” amusement.
