New ‘Krypton’ Featurette Explores The Beginnings Of Superman’s Home Planet

Krypton SYFYSyfy has released a new behind-the-scenes featurette for the Superman prequel series titled Krypton.

Set decades before the Man of Steel’s birth, Krypton will tell the untold story of the eponymous planet and the House of El through the eyes of Superman’s grandfather, Seg-El. Now, Syfy has debuted a new featurette that explores how the series will depict Krypton through a series of interviews with cast and crew members.

Set two generations before the destruction of Superman’s home planet, KRYPTON follows Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), the legendary Man of Steel’s grandfather — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed. With Krypton’s leadership in disarray, Seg-El encounters Earthly time-traveler Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos) who warns he’s under the clock to save his beloved world from chaos. Fighting to redeem his family’s honor and protect the ones he loves, Seg is also faced with a life and death conflict – save his home planet or let it be destroyed in order to restore the fate of his future grandson.

Krypton stars Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El, Georgina Campbell as Lyta Zod, Ian McElhinney as Val-El, Elliot Cowan as Daron Vex, Ann Ogbomo as Alura Zod, Rasmus Hardiker as Kem, Wallis Day as Nyssa Vex, Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em, Paula Malcolmson as Charys-El, and Blake Ritson as Brainiac.

Krypton premieres on SyFy on March 21, 2018.
