‘Krypton’: Shaun Sipos On How His Adam Strange Compares To The Comic Book Version

Krypton Shaun Sipos Adam StrangeSyfy’s Krypton will premiere next week and the Superman prequel series will feature the live-action debut of Adam Strange. Actor Shaun Sipos will portray the DC Comics character and noted how his depiction compares to the comic book version during an on-set interview with ComicBook.com.

Sipos first described the comic book version of Adam Strange and how the character is perceived when he goes to the planet Rann:

“He’s strange. And when, in the comics, he goes to Rann, everyone talks about how much life he has in him and that he does things that are different and he’s kind of funny and sort of has a levity to him, that’s fascinating to them.”

Sipos discussed how the series will depict Krypton as a dystopian society and Adam Strange will bring some levity he has in the comics to the show:

“It’s very dystopian as well. So, I try and approach it with joy. I mean, he has a lot of pain. He had a difficult childhood. He didn’t feel that he fit in. He didn’t think that he would be a superhero. He would be the last one to say that he would be one. But, I think that’s what draws people to him, is that he’s the unlikely superhero. If he can be a superhero, then anyone can be.
