Latest ‘Ant-Man’ TV Spot Puts Focus On The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Marvel Studios is wasting no time making sure that when their newest venture, Ant-Man, debuts in a little over a month that audiences everywhere associate the tiny hero with the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The latest TV spot for the July 17th release features the tagline “The Marvel Universe is about to get a lot bigger,” overlapped with footage of Captain America’s shield, Iron Man setting his repulsor rays to shoot, Thor wielding his hammer Mjolnir, Hulk’s battle cry from The Avengers, and Rocket and Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy, all before Ant-Man makes his grand entrance shrinking down to size.

We can expect see Paul Rudd debut alongside The Avengers when he reprises the role of Scott Lang/Ant-Man in next summer’s Captain America: Civil War, but just how his standalone film fits into Phase 2 and connects to the larger Marvel universe remains to be seen – could we see a cameo from an Avenger, or perhaps the events in Ant-Man will have a lasting effect and help pave the way to Civil War?

Ant-Man opens July 17. Watch the TV spot below.
