‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ 2.04 ‘Abominations’ Easter Eggs & Other References

Warning: This article contains spoilers from tonight’s episode of ‘Legends of Tomorrow’, ‘Abominations’. We recommend you give the episode a full viewing before reading further.

For a show that is usually light-hearted, tonight’s episode of Legends of Tomorrow dealt with some deep issues. Aside from the ridiculousness of the Civil War zombies, Jax was introduced to some heavy stuff when he was propelled into the midst of the worst era for African Americans in the United States’ history. The show did not skirt around the subject either, bringing slavery to the forefront.

Tonight’s episode did not contain many direct easter eggs, but it did contain a few references to real life historical figures, the established TV universe, and to the DC universe in general. As Martin Stein so wisely puts it, this entire episode was reminiscent of an episode of The Walking Dead, pitting the Legends against zombies, and not shying away from head crushing and decapitation. Overall, it was a pretty solid episode.
