We have slowly seen the building of the famous DC villain group, the Legion of Doom that in this incarnation will consist of Reverse-Flash, Damien Darhk, Malcolm Merlyn and eventually somehow Captain Cold. Have you enjoyed the development of this group in the few episodes that we have seen with them so far? What other members from the Arrowverse would you like to see join as a surprise?
Andy Behbakht: This is one of the most enjoyable aspects of the season, easily. I love Reverse-Flash, Damien Darhk and Malcolm Merlyn a lot so to see them being brought together is a joy to watch. Matt Letscher is really getting to flesh out his version of Eobard since Tom Cavanagh has so far played the character the most, back in Season 1. I still wish we got a bit of an origin story to how these three came together because they have really put that in Offscreenville. I’m still waiting to see when Captain Cold is coming back because so far this fall, both on this show and The Flash, I have somewhat been screwed with my favorite Rogue. He just keeps appearing as a ghost or hologram and I need Leonard Snart back alive! But so far, this group has been one of the big highlights of the season, although would have been fun if they added a female villain or two.
Mae Abdulbaki: I do like all the villains, but I do think the show needs to work on developing them as a full-fledged team. Reverse-Flash is my favorite and right now he seems to be running the show, but we need to learn more about how they really came to be before I’m completely on board. I do wonder how they’re going to bring back Captain Cold and make him part of the Legion when he’s dead, but hey, there’s Flashpoint. However, having him be on the villainous side makes me hope that they get Mick to join them. As a twist, it’d be fun and a personal betrayal the Legends would have to contend with.
Andrew McBride: This has been one of the few redeeming factors for me when watching the show. Anytime Reverse-Flash or Malcolm Merlyn pop up, I become engaged. Even Darhk, who I didn’t care for in Arrow last season, is a welcome diversion from the team’s increasingly mundane escapades. Captain Cold coming back should offer some relief, too. Bringing together the Legion of Doom in this capacity is a great idea. Now, I think, the show needs to capitalize on it and dive into it 100%, because it is easily the most promising development on the show. No more western dress-up trips, please.
