Liam Cunningham Brings Sneak Peek Of ‘Game Of Thrones’ S6 To Conan

Liam Cunningham

It’s Game of Thrones season and every day is a holiday. Yesterday’s gift was the title (“The Red Woman”) and synopsis for the April 24 premiere and today an interview on Conan with Liam Cunningham aka Davos Seaworth has gone online featuring brand-spankin’  new footage from the highly-anticipated sixth season.

The new footage begins at 1:48.

This sequence elaborates on the final scene from the trailer, which also features Davos’ grabbing Jon Snow’s sword Longclaw and his “never been much of a fighter” comment. There, it appeared Davos was defending Jon’s corpse from the Night’s Watch brothers in the room but this footage shows that they may be his allies protecting the body from Alliser Thorne and his murderous mutineers, who in the clip are intent on breaking down a door to get to them. No sign of the (presumed) titular red woman Melisandre who is looking to be instrumental in Jon’s (inevitable) resurrection.

For those who missed it yesterday, here’s the synopsis of the first episode.

601: “The Red Woman”

“Jon Snow is dead. Daenerys meets a strong man. Cersei sees her daughter again.”

Game of Thrones premieres April 24 at 9 p.m. EST on HBO.
