‘Tank Girl’ Star Lori Petty Cast On ‘Gotham’

As of this week, Gotham is officially on its big winter hiatus as it won’t be back until February 2016, but fans of the Batman prequel series are still getting some new updates on what to expect in the second half of the season. Variety broke the news that Tank Girl’s Lori Petty has been cast on the FOX series and will show up in one of the episodes during the second half of season two. FOX describes Petty’s character Jeri as followed:

“Petty will play Jeri, the flamboyant and enigmatic hostess of an underground club where mass murder and art are celebrated in equal measure. Jeri gives clues to Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) during his hunt for his parents’ killer, but she and her gang of merry maniacs are less helpful when Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) comes calling.”

Hardcore DC Comics Animated fans will recognize Petty’s name as she was the voice of the Superman villain Livewire on Superman: The Animated Series, a character that was just brought into the live-action Supergirl TV show on CBS. The casting of Petty follows the recent announcement that Breaking Bad star Michael Bowen as Matches Malone, the supposed Wayne killer.

Gotham returns with new episodes on Monday, February 29, 8 PM on FOX.
