‘Luke Cage’ Showrunner Teases Series Premiere

Cheo Hodari Coker, showrunner for Luke Cage on Netflix, took to Twitter today to tease the premier of the show on Netflix this September.

Coker took a photo of himself with Mike Colter just outside of the Apollo Theater in Harlem. His post included the caption “Y’all ain’t ready for September 30th. No, you ain’t,” with the hashtag BlackGuyNerds. His excitement for the show and the caption both allude to the series being something different from the two Netflix shows Marvel already has released: Daredevil and Jessica Jones. A teaser for the series was released in March at the end of Daredevil season 2, as well as Mike Colter appearing as Luke Cage in season 1 of Jessica Jones.

Are you excited to see Luke Cage? What other characters do you hope Marvel adapts for their own Netflix series? Let us know in the comments down below.

Luke Cage, like the previous Netflix shows, will release all of its episodes at once on its premiere date of September 30th, 2016.
