The 4-show crossover between Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow is currently happening this week on The CW, with Part 3 set to air later tonight. However, did you know that the crossover almost had Lynda Carter in it? In a new interview with Comicbook.com, Marc Guggenheim revealed that Carter, best known as TV’s Wonder Woman, was almost written into the crossover as the Vice President of Earth-1.
“We did, actually. In the first draft of the script, she was the vice president who becomes the President, and we got a note from the studio which we think was pretty fair, which was that it was a bit too confusing. You get into the parallel Earths of it all but she’s not the President on our Earth but the Vice President. In the midst of time travel and aliens, it was just one sci-fi problem too much.”
On Supergirl, she is playing the President of Earth-38, Olivia Marsdin who is actually an alien in disguise. While it hasn’t been revealed yet what alien race she is, Marsdin will be appearing multpile times in the second season so hopefully answers will be given to us soon enough.
