Mads Mikkelsen Is Just Waiting On The Call From Marvel For ‘Doctor Strange’

A short while back, word broke that Danish actor Mads Mikklesen was in early talks to play one of the villains in the upcoming Doctor Strange. We haven’t heard much since then but now the actor has finally commented on the possibility of joining the Marvel Studios film. While speaking with MTime, Mikkelsen stated that he’ just waiting on the call from the studio.

I know as much as the rest of the world. So far it’s been rumors, so I’m waiting on a phone call.

However, how would Mikkelsen feel about joining the cast of the Scott Derrickson film? The Danish actor revealed that he would be “over the moon” and that “it would be fantastic to be a part of the Marvel family. I mean, it’s something we all grew up with. We all have our heroes, and Doctor Strange is definitely one of the more interesting things.”

While his comments like there haven’t been any talks, we all know that isn’t always necessarily true when it comes to a Marvel production. The studio is known to have a bit of a tight-lip policy and we probably won’t learn if the actor is indeed signed on until Marvel makes an announcement regarding the film.

Doctor Strange hits theaters November 4, 2016.
