On top of a much improved season 5, Arrow fans are eagerly awaiting the series’ 100th episode which will be dually acting as both the 100th episode and the Arrow portion of the four series “Invasion!” crossover. Not much is known about the plot of how it will work in with an alien invasion, but we do know that both Oliver’s mother and father will be there (at least the actors who played them), and Slade Wilson will most likely be making an appearance.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Marc Guggenheim was asked for any additional information of the 100th episode, to which commented on the tone we could expect. According to Guggenheim, Arrow‘s 100th episode will be more like the 100th issue of a comic book than a 100th television episode. Check out exactly what he had to say below:

“It feels like the 100th issue of a comic book, perhaps even more so than the 100th episode of a television show.”

We already know that the “Invasion!” story line will be similar to the comic origin, so that aspect of the episode makes sense. The rest is up to interpretation. What do you think Guggenheim meant by this? Make sure to let us know below in the comments.

Arrow airs every Wednesday at 8 pm on the CW. The 100th episode is set to air Wednesday, November 30th and will be directed by series stunt coordinator, James Bamford.
