Mark Hamill On Jared Leto’s Performance As Joker

Heroic Hollywood | Mark Hamill Reacts To Jared Leto's Joker Several great actors have had the honor of portraying the Clown Prince of Crime himself, but each interpretation has been vastly different. The Joker has been played in many different ways and is an iconic screen villain no matter who is playing him.

After appearing on Observation of Creative Souls, one actor who has played the Joker over the last couple decades, Mark Hamill, weighed in on Twitter to give his opinion on one of the most recent actors to clown around with The Dark Knight, Jared Leto.

Check out Hamill’s tweet below:

It is good to see a sort of camaraderie amongst fellow Jokers. While it is a small and exclusive club, the wildly different interpretations of the character lead to a diverse appreciation of the character. The difference in portrayals of the character means that Joker can be appreciated by many different groups of fans.

The group of Jokers may be growing yet as well. Warner Bros. is reportedly eyeing Leonardo DiCaprio to step into the shoes of the clown prince of crime in a Joker solo movie. The film is rumored to feature a very young Joker who was bullied with a permanent smile put on his face. DC’s Joker standalone film will be the first film separate from the DC Extended Universe, under a new banner at the studio in an effort to create new and unique storylines to expand DC canon.

Meanwhile, Jared Leto’s Joker is expected to appear in a Joker and Harley Quinn movie which currently does not have a release date scheduled.

Previous1 of 11

Batman Villains DC ComicsBatman’s been on the big screen a handful of times, but he still has so many enemies who’ve never been in a movie. I love the Joker, but man-oh-man am I tired of seeing him. Batman’s got one of the most impressive, deep rogue galleries in all of comics, and I think it’s time more of them were given the love they deserve!

Some of these characters might have been in The Lego Batman Movie (if Kite-Man was, anyone could have been) but that doesn’t really count as an introduction. Look at how well-known someone like Slipknot is now thanks to Suicide Squad. Well, all these people on the list are way better than Slipknot, and should be seen taking on a member of the Bat-Family on the big screen soon.
