One of the biggest scenes in the first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok, if not the biggest, was when Hulk busted out in his gladiator garb only to be greeted by “a friend from work” in Thor. Even with the few small bits released of Hulk and Thor’s fight, that scene has been a huge selling point for the marketing of the film. So it’s no wonder the residents of Sakaar love it too.
When we meet Hulk in Thor: Ragnarok, his Bruce Banner side will have been repressed for years, allowing Hulk to evolve to the point of speaking semi-complete sentences. But grammar won’t be the only thing he has going for himself on Sakaar. In fact, Hulk will be living the celebrity life, thanks to Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster, when Thor comes into the picture.
Here’s what Mark Ruffalo had to say about his brute-turned-superstar:
“Hulk has loved his time on Sakaar, and why wouldn’t he? He is adored and admired. He has a hot tub in his apartment.”
Anyone else waiting for Hot Toys Hulk Hot Tub figure?
This type of lifestyle for Hulk should be familiar with fans who have read or watched Planet Hulk. Some are even speculating a similar love story for Bruce to detract from the romance sparked with Black Widow in Avengers: Age of Ultron. As for what causes Hulk to leave his life of luxury, turn back into puny Bruce and team up with Thor is still up for wild speculation — but maybe there will be a hot tub party along the way.
Thor: Ragnarok will be released in theaters on Nov. 3. You can read the synopsis below:
In Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok,” Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladictorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!
Directed by Taika Waititi, the film stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban, Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins.

5 Thor Stories That Should Be Used For Future Marvel Movies
After those amazing Thor: Ragnarok trailers, everyone’s talking about Odinson. This looks like a fun movie, and it makes me excited for where they might take Thor in the future. After Avengers: Infinity War, Thor is fair game for Marvel Studios (and hopefully Taika Waititi again) to do whatever they want with him.
There are some amazing Thor stories in the Marvel catalog for them to take inspiration from. I think that’s pretty key at this point, for them to just take inspiration from these stories and not follow the plot 100 percent. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is just too different compared to the Marvel Comics line, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some amazing stories the movies could emulate.
So here are five Thor stories that should be used for future movies. Hit Next to find out more!
