Martin Freeman Gives Hints as to Role in ‘Captain America Civil War’

Martin Freeman most notably known for his roles in films and television such as The Hobbit and Sherlock has been cast for the next Marvel Studios film Captain America Civil War in an unknown role.  Not much has been discussed from Freeman’s side until now.

In an interview with Bad Taste he talked about his character:

He works for the American government. He works in conjunction with the superheroes and certain agencies that help to tame the superheroes’ power, I suppose. So you’re not quite sure which side he’s on. It looks a little bit like he’s playing one game when actually he’s playing another. It’s the kind of character I like because it’s ambiguous and because you don’t know whether he’s good or bad. I like that area that isn’t black or white, I like the grays, because I think there’s just more fun to be had in not playing one obvious line.

The character he will be playing is still unknown, but many fans have started to believe that it is a character named Everett Ross from Marvel comics.

Whatever the case may be, fans are excited that Freeman is now going to be a part of this cinematic universe.
