Following bringing in Taikia Waititi to direct the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok, Marvel has brought in another writer to work on the 2017 film’s script. The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Stephany Folsom, who is best known for her 2013 Black List script 1969: A Space Odyssey or How Kubrick Learned to Stop Worrying and Land on the Moon, is the latest female writer to be tapped by the studio to work on one of their films. The previous drafts of the film were worked on by Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle. There’s currently no word regarding just how much of a re-write Folsom will do on the film’s script. Will she possibly bring some of that unusual humor that Hemsworth is looking for? We’ll have to wait and see. Thor: Ragnarok is currently set to hit theaters on November 3, 2017.
