Marvel Has Unveiled A Groot Mr. Potato Head For ‘Guardians Vol. 2’ & It’s Adorable

GuardiansGroot is probably one of the most iconic characters in the MCU, but he’s definitely the cutest. Thanks to Marvel and Disney, we now have a Groot Mr. Potato Head to add to our collection of Groot figures (don’t lie, we know you have one). The Mr. Potato Head is from the “Poptaters” line. The figure stands at 6 inches tall and features great amounts of details. Like most Mr. Potato Head figures, Groot’s pieces can be interchanged with others to make your abominations/creations. The statue retails for $16.95 and is currently available for order here. Be sure to check out a gallery of the figure above.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is ramping up to be a great crowd-pleaser, as it hits cinemas in a few days. Just recently, Kevin Feige went on to discuss Stan Lee’s expected cameo in the film.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Be sure to check out our review for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 here.

Directed by James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Micheal Rooker, Kurt Russell, and the voices of Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits cinemas on May 5.

If Disney keeps pushing down this blatant merchandising effort any more, I will seriously put off going to GotG2 indefinitely.

I already skipped opening day and saturday due to this, but at this point, I’m considering “what would I lose if I wait until this drops on netflix?”

That, gentlemen, is how NOT to do marketing.

You’re upset that they’re selling merchandise related to the film? Time to stop watching movies altogether I suppose…
