THR reports that Marvel Studios and Lexus have announced that they will be partnering to showcase the Lexus LC in the upcoming Black Panther film.
In addition to featuring the Lexus LC in the Black Panther film, X-Men writer Fabian Nicieza will pen a graphic novel with cover illustrations by graphic artists Scott “Rahzzah” Wilson and Szymon Kudranski. The graphic novel will include a scene where the titular hero uses the Lexus LC 500 to thwart a villain.
Marvel and Lexus will celebrate the partnership with a party at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday. The invite-only event will include a performance from DJ Lulo Cafe and a mystery headliner.
Brian Bolain general manager, Lexus marketing said:
“Marvel continuously captures audiences through charismatic characters and inspiring stories — the ideal fit for Lexus’ mission to craft amazing, engaging experiences. And the LC’s aggressive styling, high performance and agile handling are a perfect fit for the Black Panther’s quick, cat-like reflexes and superhuman feats. We’re excited to see the duo in action.”
Marvel’s senior VP global partnerships Mindy Hamilton said:
“This campaign clicked from the get-go. We have this bold, sophisticated hero stepping into the spotlight for the first time, and it’s been a blast to work with the Lexus team to build out a story that’ll familiarize fans with T’Challa as well as his advanced home nation of Wakanda.”

7 Reasons To Be Excited For ‘Black Panther’
Black Panther is coming back, and trust me when I say his movie will be worth seeing.
I know it’s hard to get excited when there are so many superhero movies coming out every year, but Black Panther is a character that deserves a shot on the big screen. Not only was he the first black superhero, he naturally serves as an extension to the rest of the MCU. Finally we’re not focusing on someone from New York City, T’Challa was born and raised in Wakanda, a whole different jungle compared to NYC.
Black Panther is as smart as Mr. Fantastic and as fierce a fighter as Batman. Unlike most of the marvel characters who are defined by one trait, Iron Man as dependent on tech or Cap as overly patriotic, Black Panther is a multi-faceted character.
I almost gave this list 8 reasons just because I’m excited to see what Stan Lee’s cameo is gonna be. Fingers crossed for a stereotypical tourist on safari.
