Netflix Releases New Images From ‘The Defenders’

Defenders
Last week, The Defenders united on the cover of Entertainment Weekly and we learned that the series will follow each of the heroes (not for hire) independently as they each follow their own trail of bread crumbs leading them to the center of a mysterious plot at the offices at Midland Circle. The same location where Daredevil and Elektra discovered the giant hole in the ground in season two of Daredevil.

Netflix has now released three official images from the series which gives us a look at Finn Jones, the Iron Fist himself, in action as he looks to be interrogating a criminal wearing a gas mask.

The second image features Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Patsy Walker (Rachael Taylor) taking a casual stroll and having some coffee.

The third photo, which was actually released last week to EW, puts the spotlight on the series’ villain named Alexandra played by Sigourney Weaver. While her character still remains a mystery, it does seem like she will be connected to The Hand, the mysterious ninja order attempting to unleash the weapon Black Sky on the world.

The series will see the return of many cast members from the Netflix corner of the MCU including Elodie Yung (Elektra), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse), Scott Glenn (Stick), Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker) and Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing) who will be introduced in the upcoming Iron Fist series this March.

The Defenders stars Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, and Finn Jones as Iron Fist.

The Defenders hits Netflix sometime in the summer of 2017.
