The Scott Derrickson directed Doctor Strange began filming early last month and shorly after kicking off production, a press release confirmed most of the film’s cast and crew. However, there was one thing that wasn’t featured in the release that has since been confirmed. A short while back a rumor made the rounds that screenwriter C. Robert Cargill (Sinister) was working on the Marvel Studios film’s script.

Well, Cargill has now took to social media and confirmed that he is indeed the screenwriter behind the Marvel Studios film. Earlier today he took to Facebook and posted the following.

It’s not a secret anymore. For those of you who don’t know what I’ve been doing for the past year, I’ve been writing DOCTOR STRANGE for Marvel Studios. And I couldn’t be happier or prouder. Our cast and crew are amazing and I’m having the best time.

…SQUEEEEEE!

The film’s script previously had a draft turned in by Thomas Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer with Jon Spaihts most recently working on it. Let us know what you think about Cargill working on the film’s script in the comments section below. Doctor Strange is scheduled to hit theaters on  November 4, 2016.
