‘Marvel’s The Punisher’ Release Date Reportedly Revealed

Though there has been no official confirmation on a release date for Marvel’s The Punisher, the Netlflix streaming date may be announced any day now. Earlier on Friday, a Reddit user posted the latest issue of Total Film which featured a piece on the upcoming Marvel series — a close-up image reveals the release date is set for Oct. 13.

Until now, all fans knew was that The Punisher will be hitting the streaming platform by the end of 2017. Though vague, recent still images and a trailer for the series have officially hit the web. Even the episode titles have been revealed. While exciting for fans without a doubt, that was before they had a date to mark on the calendar.

Again, no official word has been given by Marvel or Netflix on the release date — and dates are always subject to change — but this does seem like a good landing place for the series given that October is right around the corner. With Stranger Things also debuting, that’s shaping up to be a huge month for the streaming platform.

The series sees the return of Jon Bernthal in the titular role and also stars Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle, Daniel Webber as Lewis Walcott, Paul Schulze as Rawlins, Jaime Ray Newman as Sarah Lieberman, Michael Nathanson as Sam Stein. Here’s the synopsis:

After exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children, Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld. Now known throughout the city as The Punisher, he must discover the truth about injustices that affect more than his family alone.
