‘Marvel’s Runaways’ Teaser Asks ‘What If Your Parents Were Villains?’

Runaways Comic Book TVHulu has released a new teaser for their upcoming show Marvel’s Runaways. The teaser gives us a glimpse at what we can expect from the show, as well as a little background on the characters and how they might team up against their super-villain parents.

The teaser begins with our would-be heroes stumbling upon their parents all in a secret room practicing evil deeds. Check out the full video below to see what happens next:

Early reviews for the upcoming series have been positive and judging by this teaser and the reactions so far, it looks like Marvel might have a hit on their hands.

Marvel’s Runaways stars Rhenzy Feliz (Teen Wolf, Casual) as Alex Wilder, Lyrica Okano (The Affair) as Nico Minoru, Virginia Gardner (Little Bitches) as Karolina Dean, Ariela Barer (New Girl) as Gert Yorkes, Gregg Sulkin (Faking It) as Chase Stein and Allegra Acosta (100 Things to do Before High School) as Molly Hernandez. Here’s the official synopsis:

“Every teenager thinks their parents are evil. What if you found out they actually were? “Marvel’s Runaways” is the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe–their parents.”

 Marvel’s Runaways premieres on Hulu on November 21, 2017.

This looks like a fun movie, and it makes me excited for where they might take Thor in the future. After Avengers: Infinity War, Thor is fair game for Marvel Studios (and hopefully Taika Waititi again) to do whatever they want with him.

There are some amazing Thor stories in the Marvel catalog for them to take inspiration from. I think that’s pretty key at this point, for them to just take inspiration from these stories and not follow the plot 100 percent. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is just too different compared to the Marvel Comics line, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some amazing stories the movies could emulate.
