Marvel’s ‘Spider-Man’ To Get IMAX Release

Last week, it was announced that Sony and Marvel’s upcoming Spider-Man film had been moved from July 28, 2017 to July 7, 2017, which will star Tom Holland as Peter Parker a.k.a. friendly neighbor web-slinger.

Today we have more news about the upcoming reboot of the Spidey franchise as Variety reports that Sony and Marvel’s Spider-Man will be getting an IMAX release. Sony Pictures’ marketing-distrubition president Josh Greenstein said this in a statement about Spider-Man’s IMAX release.

“There’s so much about Spider-Man – including the web-slinging action – that lends itself perfectly to the Imax screen. We are confident that audiences everywhere around the world will want to see it in Imax.”

Holland’s Spider-Man will first be seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War which comes out this May. The Untitled Spider-Man Film comes out July 7, 2017.
