‘Masters of The Universe’ Gets 2019 Release Date, Loses McG As Director

Masters of The UniverseFollowing in the Transformers foot-steps, He-Man and The Masters of The Universe is hitting the big screen in a huge way. The upcoming film – which will be written by Man of Steel‘s David S. Goyer – was previously set to set to be helmed by Charlie’s Angels‘ McG. However, the director has since dropped out, and the studio is looking for a new filmmaker to step-in as we speak. The film is now set to hit theatres everywhere on December 18, 2019. Now, if you were a fan of the original cartoon or the toys, this should come as some pretty awesome news.

In even more exciting news, Entertainment Weekly reports that “many actors, including A-list talent, are vying for key roles.” This is some pretty reassuring stuff. The last actor we heard being considered for the project was Legend of Hercules star, Kellan Lutz.

Are there any actors or actresses you would like to see play a part in this new film? He-Man was previously portrayed by Dolph Lundgren back in 1987. My personal pick – but he would never have the time for it – would be Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. The dude is – literally – a real-life He-Man.

So, are you excited for the new Masters of The Universe film? Who would you like to see tackle the project as the new director?

Masters of The Universe is set to open everywhere on December 18th, 2019.

10 Deadliest Super Villain Groups In Comic Books

Previous1 of 11

Super villain
Everyone loves the hero, but the super villain gets to have all the fun. The Justice League and Avengers are great, but their foes are just as powerful. And, unlike their heroic counter parts, the villains have no problem being deadly on the battlefield.

Some villains are scary enough on their own (I’m looking at you Joker) but sometimes they need to team up to be able to meet their goal. Two heads are always better than one, even if their evil heads, and ten evil heads is even better. At the end of the day there are very few villains who can take down a full team of superheroes by themselves. It falls to super villains to come together and start alliances to earn any of the respect they so badly want.

Head to the comment section and let me know if I forgot about any of your favorite super villain groups!

Just a young writer hoping to become an old writer. From the land Down Under; no, I don't know Jai Courtney.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson– completely agree. I always thought the same thing. Personally i always felt the Dolph Lundrgen movie had an absolutely great cast. Frank Langella killed it as Skeletor. But other than the music, virtually every aspect of it was horrible but a guilty pleasure.
