Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan suits up as Val-Zod to replace Henry Cavill as Superman in this stunning new concept.
Michael B. Jordan is no stranger to taking on roles in comic book movies, and this new concept design shows how he could look replacing Henry Cavill as Superman. The twist here is Michael B. Jordan becoming Earth-Two’s Val-Zod as opposed to Kal-El. Henry Cavill’s future as Superman is currently in limbo, but bringing in another version of the Kryptonian into the DC Extended Universe could be a way of keeping Superman alive on the big screen.
This Superman fan art from Instagram artist “jscomicart” gives Michael B. Jordan Val-Zod’s white chest emblem and cape instead of Henry Cavill’s signature red and blue Superman outfit from Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. The artist felt that Michael B. Jordan was “so endearing” that he’d be a perfect fit for the role of Superman.

Henry Cavill was last seen as Superman in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
