There are always stories about the makeup process for certain films, superhero ones especially. Though the process could be a nightmare for some, perhaps no actor enjoys his time in character more than Michael Rooker. After a Comic-Con panel appearance back in 2016 in full Yondu gear, Rooker is at it again — this time, at Marvel Studios offices in Burbank, California.
Walking throughout the building, taking shots at Spider-Man’s height and posing for selfies, no one was having more fun than Rooker — except maybe the Marvel employees who got to meet Yondu in the flesh.

As fun as it is to see Yondu alive and well outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, director James Gunn has assured fans that the popular father figure to Peter Quill will not be coming back after his fate in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but that he may have a role to play in the film’s follow-up.
Just seeing Yondu is a treat, but Gunn also said that fans had an unexpected criticism of the character’s aesthetic after his first appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy.
“Yondu became a space pirate, and not a sort of Native American-inspired spiritual warrior that he is in the comics, but people very rarely get upset about any of that,” Gunn said. “It seemed like the one thing that people got upset about was Yondu’s small fin. They somehow thought it was important that Yondu had a big fin.”
Well, Yondu finally got his big fin, his big hero moment and now he’s having one heck of a time in the real world.

5 Reasons ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’ Is Better Than The Original
When Guardians of the Galaxy hit cinemas in 2014 it surprised everyone. Offering a unique blend of whiz-bang intergalactic excitement, a groovy out-of-this-world soundtrack, a smörgåsbord of oddball characters, and wacky rib-clutching comedy, Guardians had it all. It was definitely the Marvel movie to beat… until Vol. 2 came out.
Offering the same blend of winning ingredients, but amping up the story, the characters, and the emotional resonance, Guardians Vol. 2 accomplishes the rare sequel feat of being even better than the original. A lot of people will disagree with me, but I believe the first film, while excellent, had certain storytelling flaws, which the sequel was able to remarkably overcome. The result is a brand-spanking new adventure for Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Groot, that improves upon the original in several ways.
